The families of the two experienced pilots who died when their light aircraft crashed into the sea off Blackpool said they would be "sadly missed". The bodies of Roy Hellawell, 74, and Andrew Walker, 26, both from Fylde, Lancashire, were discovered by search teams in the smashed fuselage of their Piper Cherokee. The four-seater aircraft crashed into the sea a few hundred metres from the shore between the central and south piers shortly after 5pm on Friday after it was lost from Blackpool Airport's radar.
