British soul sensation JOSS STONE is the world's top celebrity dog owner, according to a new poll. The YOU HAD ME singer was hailed by readers of the New York Dog Magazine and Hollywood Dog Magazine for her care of canines - particularly when she stepped in to rescue pooches affected by Hurricane Katrina. Editor LESLIE PADGETT says, "Joss is a huge advocate for shelter dogs and it's not just talk. This year (05), despite a hectic schedule, she went out of her way to help the dogs of Katrina and Wilma."
But fellow dog-owner PARIS HILTON was deemed the least favourable animal carer, according to the survey.
Padgett adds, "Our readers felt Ms Hilton's dog-parenting skills left a lot to be desired."
