A Pennsylvania State Trooper was shot and killed early this morning during a routine traffic stop. Story by Jennifer Shoulders Email Pennsylvania state police say a trooper is dead after a shooting this morning near Pittsburgh and police are searching for suspects. Police say the trooper was shot shortly after 2 a-m during a traffic stop near Carnegie, just west of the city. Police say they are looking for a black 2001 Mercury Sable sedan with a Pennsylvania license plate F-X-E-6-5-2-7. Police from numerous departments were searching near the shooting, showed police escorting a person from the woods and a police car driving away with someone in the back. Police say the trooper's gun was also missing. Police are releasing few other details and are not releasing the trooper's name at this time.
