When Magdalena Nava’s baby was born more than three months prematurely, the Mexican woman knew she needed a miracle, and she knew whom to call upon: Our Lady of Guadalupe , the Virgin Mother of Christ and venerated benefactress of Mexico. Saturday evening, Nava joined hundreds of other local Mexicans in the annual Guadalupe celebration at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Asked if she got her miracle, Nava, who now lives in Virginia Beach, offered in answer the boy at her side – her son, Juan, now a bashful but healthy 10-year-old.
