Roy Keane appears closer to a move to Real Madrid after a Bernabeu official admitted the midfielder was “on a list of possible signings”. Real have been widely tipped to win the race for the 34-year-old’s signature following his departure from Manchester United last month after a glittering 12-year career. Bolton, Everton and West Ham want to have Keane on board and keep him closer to home, although a move to Spain is a possibility after Real communications chief Antonio Garcia Ferreras admitted staff at the club are impressed by the player.
