The leader of the NDP in New Brunswick says she won't be running to fill the seat left vacant by the resignation of her party's only member in the legislature. Provincial NDP Leader Allison Brewer ruled herself out of the race Tuesday, saying she wants to focus on rebuilding her party ahead of the next general election. "I hope that the electorate in Saint John Harbour isn't impressed by the glitz and glamour," she told reporters, injecting her announcement with a shot at her party's political opponents.
